Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it. Tori Amos
Women's Health
Do you feel like you are always adding new tasks to your to-do list but never crossing anything out? Perhaps your relationships are stuck in the same unfulfilling patterns. Or maybe you are navigating a life change, such as pregnancy, embarking on a new career, the menopause or empty nest syndrome. Managing working, family life and relationships is challenging when you're feeling lost and overwhelmed.

If you look in the mirror and wonder who the woman looking back at you is, I can help by listening carefully to your story and supporting you to reconnect with yourself.
Teens
Does your teenager seem stuck, repeating the same harmful behaviours over and over? Is your child's anxiety so high it's taking away the joy from their life? Perhaps your teenager is struggling with exam pressure or maybe they are finding things difficult socially.

If you answered yes to any of these questions, I can support your child through the often confusing and unpredictable maze of adolescence. I am curious about what is important to your child and can allow them to explore their feelings, wanted and unwanted, as well as their hopes and fears, against the backdrop of their rapidly changing lives. Counselling can help your teenager feel calmer and more positive whilst encouraging the whole family to move towards a more understanding and relaxed relationship.
Anxiety
Do your racing thoughts keep you awake at night? Perhaps you fear bad things happening or experience instructive thoughts. Do you suffer panic attacks or wake with a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach? Maybe your worries are about how others see you and you struggle socially.

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stressful or threatening situations. Our bodies and minds are programmed to respond in certain ways to keep us alive - our hearts beat faster, our muscles are primed and we become more alert in order to run or fight. This becomes problematic when, instead of calming once the threat has passed, our stress response is continually activated and we feel anxious all of the time.
Constant anxiety can interfere with our quality of life, but it can be addressed.
By understanding more about the stress response and working together to calm the nervous system and identify the root causes of your anxiety, counselling can help you feel more in control of your thoughts and feelings.
