Supervision

None of us is as smart as all of us    Ken Blanchard

I offer high quality supervision for individuals and groups, drawing on my Humanistic counselling training as well as psychodynamic theory. I have experience of supervising therapists working with children, young people and adults in a range of settings with various presenting problems. I am especially interested in the relationship between therapist and client and I work in a holistic way that incorporates attachment theory, working with our somatic responses to clients and using creative methods.

My philosophy of supervision is that the relationship between client, therapist and supervisor is rather like a garden. We spend time together as therapist and supervisor in the garden, exploring the beautiful, well-tended parts as well as the overgrown, neglected areas. We look together at the garden's boundaries, its well-trodden pathways and hidden trails. We often sit together and reflect on how being in the garden affects us emotionally, physically, cognitively and spiritually. My aim is that we work collaboratively, both bringing our own models, skills and experience to best support the client.
