Choosing online therapy brings many benefits to clients, so much so that I work exclusively online in my private practice.

No more rushing through the traffic to your appointment or having to factor a lengthy journey time into your schedule. Online therapy allows you to choose the practitioner best suited to your needs and goals, without having to consider where they are located. You can arrange an appointment time to suit you and settle in a comfortable chair in a private spot at home, knowing that when the appointment has finished, you won't be faced with public transport or a mad dash to arrive on time for the school pick up.

Some clients wonder if online therapy works, whether they can achieve the same feeling of connection with the counsellor as they would expect in a face to face setting. Experience has shown me that remote counselling can be just as effective as face to face; often the relationship can build more quickly as there are fewer visual distractions and you are in a familiar space. Many clients find it easier to talk online or over the phone.

The pandemic has allowed many of us to feel more confident and comfortable with meeting others virtually. This same flexibility can be successfully applied to counselling.
